Reflections
The importance of conducting UX research
Our product has pivoted multiple times based on user feedback, market needs, our own growth, and even investor influence. Some changes were unnecessary, some pushed us forward, and some unexpectedly guided us back on the right path. I wasn’t a seasoned UX designer, but I was the only designer responsible for everything for this product. Building Petamory with my team from 0 to 1 taught me the true value of a UI designer, UX designer, and UX researcher.
product manager mindset
I’ve shifted my mindset to understand that, regardless of my role in the team, I need to know the product as well as a product manager does. It’s crucial to assess the product’s direction and needs. By contributing well-organized research and presenting it effectively, I can showcase my value and help steer the product away from failure.
